VAST Training Service: New Training Calendar

VAST Training Services have new calendar of training and workshops for CHSP staff, volunteer, managers and board members.

VAST Training Services have released a brand new VAST Aged Care & Disability Services Training Calendar. It is packed with workshops and training sessions to specifically meet the needs of staff, volunteers, managers and board members of Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funded services. 

What’s New?

With the commencement of CHSP, staff are excepted to be trained in non accredited areas, as appropriate to their roles. So make sure you or your supervisor book you in for any of the following training if you have not already undertaken this:

  • Manual Handling
  • WHS Training
  • Boundaries & Duty of Care
  • Safe Home Visiting
  • Safe Food Handling

Exciting Extras!

In addition to our essential training we have added some other valuable learning and development options to support you and your staff to be at the top of your game when delivering CHSP services:

  • BUILDING YOUR EVIDENCE BASE: Measuring & Reporting Client Outcomes, Evaluating Service and Projects
  • Elder Abuse
  • LGBTI Elder Care
  • Engaging With the Aboriginal Community with David Widders

 

We are still offering CHSP funded organisations, in our funded region, reimbursement of up to $1000 for Tailored for Tomorrow sessions.

We will continue to follow advice from NSW Health and the Department of Health, and we will keep adapting the ways we work in these challenging times. JNC is committed to our communities in the Randwick, Waverley, and City of Sydney LGAs.
