Domestic and Family Violence Services
If you have experienced domestic or family violence and are in need of some specialised services, JNC has a team of highly skilled and experienced Domestic Violence case workers. We support women and their families who are experiencing domestic violence and related issues such as housing and family court.
Our Staying Home Leaving Violence Service can assist women and their families from the Waverley, Randwick, Woollahra and Bayside LGAs to live safely in their own home or a home of their choice. We also provide case management services.
Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV)
WHAT WE ARE
The Eastern Suburbs SLHV program aims to prevent women and their children who have been affected by domestic and family violence having to move away from the support of their family and friends, and the school and community where they live, or experience homelessness. The program also aims to reduce the risk of homelessness, while increasing safety and support.
WHAT WE DO
Services provided include:
- Assessment of risk
- Safety management planning
- Home security audits and coordination of safety upgrades to enable
a woman and her children to stay safely at home - Support in managing finances and accessing other services
- Advocacy with other services
- Case Management.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Our specialist Caseworkers assist women and their children who have left a domestic or family violence situation, providing support to remain safely in their own homes or a home of their choice, at a time that can be stressful and overwhelming.
Our Indigenous Caseworkers are always available to support our First Nations clients.
We work with women and their children living in all suburbs within the Randwick, Waverley, Woollahra LGA’s and the following suburbs in Bayside LGA – Banksmeadow, Botany, Daceyville, Eastgardens, Eastlakes, Hillsdale, Mascot, Pagewood, Rosebery (Part in Bayside LGA)
