ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The JNC acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Gadigal and Bidjigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that these lands always were and always will be Aboriginal lands. We celebrate First Nations Peoples’ connection to the land and recognise the importance of Indigenous voices and culture. We would like to advise that there may be images or videos on this website of people who have since passed.

Domestic and Family Violence Services

If you have experienced domestic or family violence and need specialised services, JNC has a team of highly skilled and experienced Domestic Violence case workers. We support women and families who are experiencing domestic violence and related issues.

Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV)

Our Staying Home Leaving Violence Program (SHLV) assists women and their families from the Waverley, Randwick, Woollahra and Bayside LGAs to live safely in their own home or a home of their choice. We also provide case management services.

WHAT WE ARE

The Eastern Suburbs SLHV program aims to prevent women and their children who have been affected by domestic and family violence having to move away from the support of their family and friends, and the school and community where they live, or experience homelessness. The program also aims to reduce the risk of homelessness, while increasing safety and support.

WHO WE WORK WITH

We work with women and their children who have left a domestic or family violence situation. Caseworkers support women to remain safely in their own homes or a home of their choice.

Our Aboriginal Caseworker is available to support our Aboriginal clients.

We work with women and their children living in all suburbs within the Randwick, Waverley, Woollahra LGA’s and the following suburbs in Bayside LGA – Banksmeadow, Botany, Daceyville, Eastgardens, Eastlakes, Hillsdale, Mascot, Pagewood, Rosebery (Part in Bayside LGA)
