Two x 2 hour Art Workshops

2 x Two Hour Art Workshops resulted in an exhibition at The JNC - Maroubra.
Participants celebrated the creative result of attending the 2 x Two Hour workshops held in Maroubra earlier this year.

Expressing oneself can be difficult to verbalise at times. Join us and explore your feelings through creativity at our friendly art workshops. We have engaged a highly experienced volunteer Art Facilitator, Teresa Castellanos, to lead the Art Workshops. Teresa delivered the workshops to local residents at our centre in Maroubra with great success. The results were astounding and the group celebrated their work at a small community art exhibition. Now Teresa is offering residents living in the Waverley LGA the same opportunity to explore and express themselves through art.

You do not need to be a great artist, or have any training in art. All art materials are supplied by The JNC. The group is warm and welcoming. Simply bring yourself and let your imagination take over!

About the Facilitator

Teresa Castellanos has worked with the Dept. of Education (NSW) for 32 years as an Art Teacher, as Head Teacher of Visual and Performing Arts and as Deputy Principal. She has taught Art and Photography to high school students. Teresa has taught Ceramics to adults at Parramatta Evening College. She is currently teaching painting to Seniors at Little Bay.

Teresa has offered to share her skills and experience as an art teacher and practicing artist. You will have the opportunity to try different drawing techniques and painting using water colour and mixed media. Members of the community who are interested in exploring art will be inspired!
