ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The JNC acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Gadigal and Bidjigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that these lands always were and always will be Aboriginal lands. We celebrate First Nations Peoples’ connection to the land and recognise the importance of Indigenous voices and culture. We would like to advise that there may be images or videos on this website of people who have since passed.

Community Meditation Program

Faith Aguga will run a ten week free meditation program from JNC Randwick, 2 Albert St (cnr Avoca St).

Enjoy the benefits of meditation with meditation & yoga practitioner Faith Agugu. The Randwick local explains that we are told it is a good thing to care for others and put other people’s needs before our own. Though this is very honourable, Faith questions, what happens when looking after our loved ones leaves us depleted? Are we really able to continue to give effectively  from this place of lack?

It is ok for us to put ourselves first at times and prioritise our own needs.

“I believe that you cannot give what you do not have – that you cannot fully care for another unless you care for yourself first.” – Faith Agugu

Join our weekly meditation at JNC Randwick for a 1 hour meditation to replenish and nurture yourself. Fill your cup so that you can give from a fuller more refreshed place. You will be part of a friendly group and do not need to have any experience in meditation. Simply book in by phoning Shellie: 9349 8200.

This free meditation program is ideal for anyone needing a break. If you experience mental health issues, please contact your health professional before attending the program.
