ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The JNC acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Gadigal and Bidjigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that these lands always were and always will be Aboriginal lands. We celebrate First Nations Peoples’ connection to the land and recognise the importance of Indigenous voices and culture. We would like to advise that there may be images or videos on this website of people who have since passed.

Happy about being a dad

‘Connecting Dads with Kids’ runs on Tuesday, May 4, 11 & 18, 6-7pm, on Zoom. For fathers and male carers with kids aged 2–12 years.

Looking forward to school

JNC’s Transition to School playgroup is for families with children starting school in 2022. Your child can build confidence and skills, meet other local children and learn the basics of handwriting, numbers and literacy, and how to listen, share and follow instructions.

Mondays in school term at Hope Uniting Church, 829 Anzac Parade, Maroubra, 10-11.30am.

Feeling better about anxiety

‘Small Steps’ is a seminar that will help you understand anxiety in children: what’s ‘normal’, what kinds of anxiety disorders can affect children, and how to read the signs. Tuesday, May 11 from 10-11.30am in Daceyville. Hear from the experts and find out how anxious children can be supported.
