ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The JNC acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Gadigal and Bidjigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that these lands always were and always will be Aboriginal lands. We celebrate First Nations Peoples’ connection to the land and recognise the importance of Indigenous voices and culture. We would like to advise that there may be images or videos on this website of people who have since passed.

JNC ABC for parents and carers

The school year’s about to begin – for parents and carers as much as for your children. Soon they will be in schools and preschools, their learning needs well supported by the education system.

But what about learning for parents and carers? There’s always something you’ll want to know more about. For example:

  • How can I bond better with my child?
  • How can I stay calm in the middle of my child’s tantrums?
  • How can I support my child’s development?
  • If my partner and I are experiencing conflict, how can I reduce the impact on my child?
