ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The JNC acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, the Gadigal and Bidjigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that these lands always were and always will be Aboriginal lands. We celebrate First Nations Peoples’ connection to the land and recognise the importance of Indigenous voices and culture. We would like to advise that there may be images or videos on this website of people who have since passed.

Family wellbeing at JNC

Did you know that family wellbeing programs and resources are being offered by local neighbourhood centre JNC?

Our Families Team supports anyone living in the Randwick LGA who is:

  • a parent of a child under 12
  • a grandparent or carer caring for a child
  • expecting a baby

We have Indigenous Community Workers who can provide culturally appropriate support for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people.

We offer many ways to strengthen your wellbeing and your child’s:

  • information on the support services available throughout the community
  • casework, including support for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence
  • referrals to other services
  • workshops, courses and support groups

Upcoming family support programs

Read here about available resources, and programs and activities about to start. Be sure to book in soon – contact details and eligibility requirements below.

JNC family programs help you understand how children develop and experience their world. You can also meet other people who are exploring parenting issues. To keep you safe, all programs are being offered online at present but in coming weeks we will be recommencing face-to-face programs.
