Looking for free school holiday activities for your toddler, child or teen? In the July school holidays, The Junction Neighbourhood Centre’s free playgroups and Community Kitchen will take the following breaks –

Transition to School Playgroup: Last day Monday 2 July, resumes Monday 30 July

Community Kitchen: Last day Wednesday 3 July, resumes Wednesday 25 July

Little Leaps Play Group: Last day Friday 5 July, resumes Friday 27 July

‘Other places to play’: free school holiday activities

We are delighted to offer you some ideas for how to keep your children – from toddlers to teenagers – busy at no cost in the school holidays.

The following are free school holiday activities in Bondi, Bondi Junction, Hillsdale, Maroubra, Randwick and Waverley. We have reached out in other areas and will add more details on our Facebook page as they become available. Note that you may need to book ahead of time for some of these activities, and that some of the services offer paid activities as well. Check out the Randwick Council and the Waverley Council websites.

This list is presented in date order, from 7 July – first day of the school holidays – to Friday 20, the last day. It gives date and time of day, age group, activity type, address and booking details.

Saturday 7
COMMUNITY MARKETS with free entertainment.  9am – 2pm. Children and families. Pacific Square Town Square, Anzac Parade, Maroubra.

Monday 9
ESCAPE THE ROOM! 10.30am-12pm. For ages 13 – 21. A fun and challenging group activity to solve problems in this game against the clock. Lionel Bowen Library.
