General Manager, Janet Green
Janet has worked in social planning for nearly 30 years, 20 of which have been in the non-government sector. She brings extensive experience managing community based organisations to her role as General Manager of our team. Janet has worked as a consultant with community organisations on strategic planning, organisational change, service planning and development for 18 years. She has held a number of Board roles in the NGO sector over the past 20 years.
Operations Manager – Aged & Disability Services, Megan Bowyer
Employed in the community sector for over 30 years, Megan started out with a Diploma in Youth Work. Working in Family Support and Disabilities initially, Megan later moved into the role of Social Support Coordinator at the JNC and is currently the Operations Manager of the team. With over 13 years’ experience working in the Aged & Disability Services at the JNC, she adds a wealth of knowledge for the organisation to draw on.
Business Services Manager – Petra Besta
With over 14 years working in the community sector in various capacities including 8 years as a coordinator of a disability organisation and in rehabilitation as a leisure support worker, Petra decided to focus her skills on accounts roles at JNC and another community centre. She has a Bachelor of Leisure Studies, majoring in Disability and Ageing, a Diploma in Counselling and an Associated degree in Civil Engineering. Her aforementioned degree led to work on large projects including the Sydney Airport Rail Link, Sydney Casino & the Homebush Olympic site. Volunteering has been a large feature of Petra’s career experience with over 30 years of contribution to management committees of sporting, community and disability organisations, predominately taking roles as a treasurer. Two final interesting career highlights were the 1999 Handball World championships in Norway & 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, in which Petra represented Australia.
Communications & Marketing Manager – Sin Mariani
Sin has a lengthy history working with communities and community organisations through her work in Local Government, Employment Services, Neighbourhood and Youth Centres as well as a consultant to the sector. She brings a diverse knowledge of the sector as a manager of a variety of services, and formerly as a direct service worker and trainer. With a passionate interest in all matters of communications and marketing, Sin also holds a strong belief and commitment in social enterprise as a way forward. Sin brings enthusiasm to both the Management Team and the teams she manages at the Junction Neighbourhood Centre.
